Feb. 28 - March 1, 2014 - Los Angeles, CA
The third annual West Coast Trade Workshop will be hosted by the UCLA Economics Department, with support from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and the Ziman Center for Real Estate. The goal of the conference is to take advantage of the proximity of many scholars in international economics. The conference will take place on February 28th and March 1st at UCLA. The conference will start in the afternoon on the 28th and run all day on the 1st.
We plan to have 6-10 papers on the program, with one slot dedicated to the best graduate student submission. Papers on all topics of international economics are welcome. This year, the Ziman Center will sponsor one session focused on economic geography, so submissions related to that topic are particularly encouraged. Hotel accommodations and daily meals for all presenters will be provided by the conference. In addition, the winner of the graduate student award will receive additional support to help with travel costs.
If you'd like to submit an abstract or paper for the workshop, please do so to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 15th. Also, please forward this email to interested graduate students and other faculty that we may have missed. We plan to notify participants by early January. Both abstracts and papers will be accepted, but preference will be given to completed papers. Those who do not present are still encouraged to attend.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
